Povich to lead Woodlands 9th grade campus

Chris Povich was named the new principal for The Woodlands High School Ninth Grade Campus.
I feel very confident that Chris will do a great job in that position," said Superintendent Don Stockton.
Povich, an associate principal at The Woodlands High School, has 16 years experience as an educator and came to The Woodlands High School as a math teacher in 1997. He has served as associate principal for five years and was previously the mathematics department chair, assistant principal and summer school principal.
It's been an honor to be in Conroe Independent School District for the last 13 years," Povich said. I look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence at The Woodland High School-Ninth Grade campus.
Prior to coming to the Conroe Independent School District, he was a math teacher at the Houston and Lamar Consolidated independent School district.
Povick received his bachelor of science in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin, a master of education in mathematics education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a doctorate of education in administration and supervision from the University of Houston.
Povich will replace current principle Margarite Weatherall, who is retiring frim CISD after 30 years of service.
