The regular season finale will be played in New Caney on Tuesday. The Woodlands is hoping for similar results from when the teams met in the first round of District 14-5A play.
The Highlanders ran off with an 88-49 victory that started a losing streak for the Eagles, who had started district play with three victories in their first four games. It also helped establish The Woodlands as the team to beat.

TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
The Woodlands: The Highlanders have been pretty consistent throughout the season. They made it unscathed through the first round of district play before stumbling at Oak Ridge after surviving a one-point game with College Park. The Highlanders look to close out the regular season with a victory and a district title before moving on to the first round of the playoffs.
New Caney: Perhaps the surprise team of the district, the Eagles have been in the thick of the playoff race from the beginning with a dizzying array of 3-point shooting. It's not unusual for the Eagles to jack up as many as 30 3-point shots in a ballgame. Tracy Wade, Steve Arnold, Joe Cantrell and AJ Cantrell are among the leading scorers in a balanced scoring attack.
