Women warned to be aware of surroundings

Among the neon lights and colorful posters, this stark black and white sketch was plastered all over the walls and in the stalls in the ladies' room at Papa's Ice House.
The note with the photo said: "December 23, 2009 this guy abducted a woman from Molly's Pub in The Woodlands. He broke her beck after he raped her, threw her clothes away and tossed her on the side of the road in the woods. This is NOT the first time either. Ladies, please be aware of your surroundings. Don't leave ALONE."
Waitresses said the woman was left for dead, but survived and is now paralyzed.
The poster goes on to suggest the same person attacked a jogger on Gosling Jan. 28.
The description is the man is 5'9" to 5'10", 190-200 pounds, clean shaven, short brown hair, mid 20's to 30's, right-handed, soft voice, light eyes.
I think the best part of the advice is to be aware of your surroundings and ask for someone to walk you to your car if you're alone at night. Have your keys in your hands ready to go. Don't be blabbing on your cell phone or text messaging. Just get to your vehicle, get in quick, lock your doors and drive away.
It sickens and scares me to hear about the level of crime happening in The Woodlands. I had no idea.
