Arts society sets queen's court for ball

The Montgomery County Performing Arts Society's 2010 Mardi Gras Ball committee, announces the Queen's Court for the upcoming Ball on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at the elegant La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa. The outstanding Community Women Leaders selected in (non-ranked order): Sandy Riney, American Cancer Society; Dolores Power, April Sound Ladies Association; Jodi Grubb, April Sound Civic Association; Theta Jackson, Assistance League of Montgomery County; Carolyn Wohlt, Montgomery County Choral Society; Annette Ferrell, Conroe Service League; Peggie Miller, Crighton Players; Lillian Niederhofer, Montgomery County Performing Arts Society; Carol Gooch, Montgomery County Association of Business Women; Mary Wagers Smith, Conroe Noon Lions Club; Janet Milleson, Lake Conroe Rotary Club; Pam Stewart, Lake Conroe Area Republican Women; Ann Wolford, The Woodlands Rotary Club; Terri Jaggers, Montgomery County Child Protective Services; Elizabeth Ehrman, Montgomery County Food Bank; Sandy Martin, Crighton Theatre Foundation; Angela Myers Graves, Stage Right of Texas; Marie Underdown, SPCA; and Karen Mauermann, Conroe Symphony. On the evening of the Ball, all of these community leaders will be honored and one will be named Queen of the Court".

About The Mardi Gras Ball:
2010 Mardi Gras Ball is the 2nd annual fundraising event for Montgomery County Performing Arts Society. The formal Ball will kick off at 6:00 p.m. with cocktails, silent auction and music my Bon Ton Mickey & The Zydeco Hot Steppers. Followed by the introduction of Roger Galatas, who will reign as Mardi Gras Ball King, presentation of the Queen's Court and crowning of the King and Queen. After a delicious Mardi Gras-inspired meal and live auction, lead by auctioneer Lyn Hawthorne, guests will dance the night away to music by Jane's Destiny.
