The University Interscholastic League's realignment brings some new schools to Region II in Class 5A. Atascocita and Kingwood will now accompany the four Conroe ISD schools (College Park, Conroe, Oak Ridge, The Woodlands) and Lufkin in the new District 14-5A in Region II. Read more here

Marley, the K-9 cop for the Conroe ISD Police Department, has died. She hosted high profile leaders such as both Bush presidents and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Richard Myers, and won three bronze, four silver and one gold award during two stints in the national K-9 Olympics.
