Suspects arrested in early-morning robbery
Three suspects were arrested Friday after taking a purse from a 52-year-old woman at gunpoint.
Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of a robbery shortly after midnight in the 25000 block of Borough Park of a 52-year-old woman as she was walking from work at nearby restaurant to her home.
The woman told deputies that a suspect wearing a bandana over his face stole her purse at gunpoint and ran away, according to a statement from the sheriff's office.
Nearby witnesses were able to provide deputies a description of the escape vehicle, which were then broadcast to all area law enforcement officers and agencies.
A Montgomery County Sheriff's deputy located the suspect vehicle on Lake Robbins Drive in The Woodlands, and with assistance from other deputies and law enforcement officers from nearby jurisdictions, the three suspects were arrested.
Arrested and charged with aggravated robbery were: Matthew C. Power, 21, of The Woodlands; Timothy L. McGown, 19, of Tomball; and Seth A. Tomlinson, 21, of The Woodlands.
Several items stolen from the women were recovered in the car as well as a handgun believed to have been used by the suspects.
The suspects have been cooperative with deputies.
