College Park grad Shafer scores 3 points in Rice loss
College Park High School graduate Megan Shafer scored three points in Rice University's 49-45 loss to conference rival University of Tulsa on Feb. 17, according to Rice's website.
The sophomore forward also recorded two rebounds for the Owls who are 10-14 on the season and 2-9 in the C-USA.
Rice's next game is 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21 at home against the University of Central Florida.
Shafer is a 2011 graduate of College Park in The Woodlands where she was McDonald's All-American nominee. A four-year letter winner and two-year starter for coach Michelle Richardson, Shafer is from The Woodlands.
