College Park grad Cooper plays in Hartford loss
College Park High School graduate Evan Cooper scored four points in the University of Hartford's 66-64 loss to conference rival Maine on Wednesday. Feb. 13 at Alfond Arena in Orono, Me., Hartford's website reported.
Cooper also recorded one rebound, two assists and three steals for the Hawks, who are 14-11 on the season and 7-5 in conference.
Hartford's next game is 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at Albany.
Cooper is a freshman guard for University of Hartford.He is a 2012 graduate of College Park High School in The Woodlands where he was named The Courier's All-Montgomery County Player of the Year, and also earned the District 14-5A Most Valuable Player award and was named First Team All-District 14-4A, for scoring 75 points with four rebounds and three steals during his senior year. The international studies major is from Houston.
