College Park grad Cooper plays in Hartford loss
The Woodlands College Park High School graduate Evan Cooper scored three points in a 56-46 home loss by his University of Hartford to conference rival University at Albany on Saturday, Jan. 19, at Chase Family Arena in West Hartford, Conn., the team's website reported.
Cooper also recorded two rebounds, one assist and a steal for the Hawks, who are 10-9 on the season and 3-3 in the America East Conference.
Hartford's next game is 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 at New Hampshire.
Cooper is a freshman guard for University of Hartford.He is a 2012 graduate of College Park High School in The Woodlands where he was named The Courier's All-Montgomery County Player of the Year, and also earned the District 14-5A Most Valuable Player award and was named First Team All-District 14-4A, for scoring 75 points with four rebounds and three steals during his senior year. The international studies major is from Houston.
