The Woodlands grad Strickland contributes to Harding victory
The Woodlands High School graduate Anna Strickland scored points in Harding's 91-44 win over conference rival Southern Arkansas Thursday, Jan. 17, at W.T. Watson Athletic Center in Magnolia, Ark., the Harding website reported.
Strickland also recorded five rebounds, one assist, three steals and a block for the Bison, who improved to 10-4 on the season and 6-2 in the Great American Conference.
Harding's next game is 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at home against University of Arkansas at Monticello.
Anna Strickland is a freshman forward for Harding University. She is a 2012 graduate of The Woodlands High School. While in high school, Strickland was named most valuable defensive player in her district as a senior, three-time All-District and two-time Academic All-District. Strickland averaged 11 points and 9 rebounds during her junior year. Strickland is from The Woodlands and is the daughter of Don and Gale Strickland.
