Gas prices in and around The Woodlands were lower than the averages for Houston and the country as a whole, according to data from the price-tracking website GasBuddy.com.

Visitors to the GasBuddy.com website reported rates at 27 gas stations in and around The Woodlands. As of Saturday, Jan. 12, the average price of regular unleaded gas in The Woodlands was $3.16 per gallon. GasBuddy.com listed the Houston average at $3.17, the state average at $3.17 and the nationwide average at $3.27.

The least expensive gas in The Woodlands was reported to be $3.05 for a gallon of regular unleaded, which GasBuddy.com contributors logged at Conoco, 16058 Bridlewood Drive.

A GasBuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas in the area was $3.29 at Chevron, 26900 Ih-45 N.; and Chevron, 19153 IH-45.
