College Park grad Bender contributes to MIT win
The Woodlands College Park High School graduate David Bender scored two points in an 83-45 win at home by Massachusetts Institute of Technology over conference rival U.S. Coast Guard Academy Thursday, Jan. 10, at Rockwell Cage in Cambridge, Mass., the MIT website reported.
Bender helped the Beavers improve to 11-3 on the season and 2-1 in the NEWMAC. MIT's next game is 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at home against Babson College.
Bender is a sophomore forward for Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a 2011 graduate of College Park High School in The Woodlands. The chemical engineering and materials science and engineering major is from The Woodlands and is the son of William and Sophie Bender.
