College Park grad Cooper scores 13 points in Hartford victory over Maine
Evan Cooper, a graduate of College Park High School, is a freshman guard for the University of Hartford men's basketball team.
College Park High School graduate Evan Cooper contributed 13 points in Hartford's 68-61 home win over conference rival Maine on Wednesday, Jan. 9 at Chase Family Arena in West Hartford, Conn., Hartford's website reported.
The University of Hartford freshman guard also recorded one rebound, two assists and three steals for the Hawks, who improved to 10-6 on the season and 3-0 in the America East Conference.
Hartford's next game is 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 on the road against Stony Brook University.
Cooper is a 2012 graduate of College Park High School in The Woodlands, where he was named The Courier's All-Montgomery County Player of the Year, and also earned the District 14-5A Most Valuable Player award and was named First Team All-District 14-4A, for hitting 75 three-pointers with an average of four rebounds and three steals per game during his senior year. The international studies major is from Houston.
