The Woodlands 37th annual Arbor Day Celebration scheduled for Jan. 19
The 37th annual Arbor Day Celebration, sponsored by The Woodlands Township, will be held Saturday, Jan. 19 at Rob Fleming Park in The Woodlands.
The event will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
According to a press release from The Woodlands Township, "The Woodlands 37th annual Arbor Day Celebration, Puffy Pine Cone's 6th Birthday and 'I Love Puffy' Day are all being celebrated. The Woodlands Development Company and its predecessors and sponsors have given away about 30,000 tree seedlings each year. This year, due to severe drought and loss of trees The Woodlands Township has donated an additional 91,000 trees to be given away in an effort to reforest The Woodlands. That means there will be 121,000 trees waiting for residents to pick up and replant throughout the community on their own property, in community open space reserves and forest preserves."
The event will be held at Rob Fleming Park, 6055 Creekside Forest Drive.
