'A' student likes science, but she's gotta dance
She won the award at only 8 years old. “I knew I had put a lot of hard work and effort into it and was thrilled that it had paid off; I was so excited, I couldn’t stop smiling -- and so proud,” she recalled.
NAME: Elizabeth Richardson
SCHOOL: Vogel Intermediate School, CISD
ACCOMPLISHMENTS: “I have been dancing since I was 3 years old, and a member of a competitive dance team since I was 6. My solo routine has placed in the top 10 nine times,” Elizabeth said. She is a straight-A student; her artwork has been selected for several shows, including the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo twice, the Pearl Fincher Art Show and the CISD Western Art Show.
