'Texas Music: For the Love of Children' benefit concert set for Jan. 13
The benefit concert "Texas Music: For the Love of Children" will be held starting at noon Sunday, Jan. 13 and continuing through 2 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14 at Johnny B. Dalton's in Conroe.
According to a press release from Montgomery County Schools, "In response to the recent tragedy in Newtown, Conn., the event will feature more than 18 Texas musical artists coming together to raise funds to educate and bring awareness to children attending Montgomery County schools. Responders including police, firefighters and investigation teams will speak to parents and children about safety and awareness. The event includes fingerprinting, a silent auction, 50/50 raffles, food and music. A few of the local artists tapped to perform include Opie Hendrix, Charley Austin, the Brandon Moore Band, Kat Moore, Leo Mendoza and many more. All ages are welcome, but only adults will be admitted after 9 p.m."
Tickets, available at the door, cost $10 for adults and $5 for students.
