College Park grad Shafer helps Rice to victory

College Park graduate Megan Shafer scored 10 points as Rice won 75-54 at home over Texas-Pan American Friday, Dec. 28, at Tudor Fieldhouse in Houston, the Rice website reported.
The sophomore forward also recorded a steal for the Owls, who improved to 7-4 on the season.
Shafer is a 2011 graduate of College Park in The Woodlands, where she was McDonald's All-American nominee. A four-year letter winner and two-year starter for coach Michelle Richardson, Shafer is from The Woodlands and is the daughter of Eddie and Fran Shafer.
