Megan Shafer, Rice University

About Shafer: Shafer is a sophomore forward for Rice University. She is a 2011 graduate of College Park in The Woodlands, where she was McDonald's All-American nominee. A four-year letter winner and two-year starter for coach Michelle Richardson, Shafer is from The Woodlands and is the daughter of Eddie and Fran Shafer.

Angela Snow, McMurry University
Position: Guard
High school: Cooper H.S.
This week: Saturday, Dec. 29, at Southern Arkansas University
About Snow: Snow is a freshman guard for McMurry University. The Abilene native is a 2012 graduate of Cooper High School. A microbiology major, she is the daughter of Joe and Veronica Snow.

Britni Martin, Sam Houston State University
Position: Forward
High School: Conroe High School
This week: Friday, Dec. 28, at UTEP
About Martin: Martin is a 2009 graduate of Conroe High School where she was an all-greater Houston and all-district player on the basketball court for coach Deidre Hinze. As a senior (2008-09) Martin averaged 17.1 points 5.2 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. Martin was a McDonalds All-America candidate. She was also one of the top scorers in the 2008 Texas Girls Basketball Association All-Star Game. Martin was a three-time all-district selection and was the district's newcomer of the year as a freshman (2005-06). She was a four-time academic all-district honoree and earned all-district honors on the soccer field as well. Martin was a member of the National Honor Society. She is from Conroe.
