Gas prices in and around The Woodlands were higher than the averages for Houston and the country as a whole, according to data from the price-tracking website gasbuddy.com.
Visitors to the gasbuddy.com website reported rates for 27 gas stations in and around The Woodlands as of Saturday, Dec. 15. The average price of regular unleaded gas in The Woodlands is 3.06 per gallon. Gasbuddy.com listed the Houston average at $3.02, the state average at $3.02 and the nationwide average at $3.27.
The least expensive gas in The Woodlands was reported to be $2.96 for a gallon of regular unleaded, which gasbuddy.com contributors logged at Murphy USA, 1045 Sawdust Road, Near Grogans Mill Road.
A gasbuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas in the area was $3.19 at Shell, 4725 W. Panther Creek Drive.
