According to a YMCA press release, "A record breaking number of participants showed early Thanksgiving morning to run and walk for charity as well as enjoy the wonderful weather, festivities on the plaza and holiday spirit with their neighbors, friends, and family. Topping last year’s total of registered participants by more than 10 percent, this year had close to 6,000 runners and walkers. After the walk and the races a complimentary pancake breakfast was provided on the Plaza for all participants by local restaurant, The Egg & I."
