Conroe High grad Martin plays in Sam Houston State University loss
Conroe native Britni Martin played for Sam Houston State University in a 71-61 loss against University of South Alabama on Saturday, Dec. 8, according to Sam Houston State University's website.
The senior forward and the Bearkats are 2-5 on the season.
Martin is a 2009 graduate of Conroe High School, where she was an all-greater Houston and all-district player on the basketball court for coach Deidre Hinze.
As a senior, Martin averaged 17.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game.
She was a McDonald's All-America candidate. She was also one of the top scorers in the 2008 Texas Girls Basketball Association All-Star Game.
Martin was a member of the National Honor Society.
