Woodlands Christian Academy grad Carr plays in Virginia Military Institute loss
Joe Carr contributed four points in Virginia Military Institute's 92-59 loss to Wright State University on Saturday, Dec. 8, according to Virginia Military Institute's website.
The senior guard also recorded two rebounds for Virginia Military Institute, which is 4-6 on the season.
From 2006 to 2009, Carr played basketball for Woodlands Christian Academy, leading them to the TAPPS State Championship in his junior and senior years.
He was also named District Player of the Year for two seasons while also earning all-state honors for three consecutive seasons.
In addition to playing for Woodlands Christian Academy, Carr was selected to play in the Canary Island International Basketball Tournament, playing against teams from Spain and the Canary Islands.
In addition to being team captain and Montgomery County Player of the Year for two seasons, he was a finalist for the Conroe Rotary Club Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
