Free monthly legal hotline scheduled for Dec. 3

The free monthly legal hotline, sponsored by Woodlands Bar Association and Montgomery County United Way, will be available from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3.

According to a press release, "Local volunteer attorneys answer the phones on the first Monday of every month to answer legal questions and provide resources to Montgomery County residents."

The attorneys answering the calls take a wide variety of questions — ranging from Social Security benefits and divorce to probate and landlord-tenant issues. They are able to listen to the caller’s problem and direct the caller to appropriate resources," said Julie Martineau, president of Montgomery County United Way, in the press release.
