Where are the lowest gas prices in The Woodlands?
Gas prices in and around The Woodlands were higher than the average for Houston but lower than the national average, according to data from the price-tracking website gasbuddy.com.
Visitors to the gasbuddy.com website reported rates for 25 gas stations in and around The Woodlands.
As of Dec. 1, the average price of regular unleaded gas in The Woodlands was $3.15 per gallon. Gasbuddy.com listed the Houston average at $3.11, the state average at $3.13 and the nationwide average at $3.41.
The least expensive gas in The Woodlands was reported to be $3.06 for a gallon of regular unleaded, which gasbuddy.com contributors logged at Murphy USA, 3042 College Park Drive, near I-45.
A gasbuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas in the area to be $3.29 at Shell, 4725 W. Panther Creek Drive.
Other local stations included in the survey were Chevron, 26900 I-45 North; Exxon, 1470 Lake Woodlands Drive; Exxon, 8150 Research Forest Drive; Chevron, 19153 I-45; Shell, 7800 Research Forest Drive; Exxon, 6501 College Park Drive; Shell, 4105 College Park Drive; and Exxon, 6606 Woodlands Parkway.
GasBuddy.com, owned by GasBuddy Organization Inc., offers local gas pricing information to its visitors. The prices, based on the cost of regular unleaded gas, are submitted by the site's contributors. The site's stated mission is "to serve the public by providing a real time gas prices forum so that consumers can have access to the information necessary to locate the lowest fuel prices available."
