Jingle Bell Choir classes, pet adoptions set at The Woodlands Mall

The Woodlands Mall will host a class intended to ring in the holiday season on the right note.

A Jingle Bell Choir class at class is set for Saturdays, Dec. 1 and Dec. 15. Children and adults can drop into the classes on any time from noon to 3 p.m. and get instruction on how to play holiday hand bells.

The free classes — compliments of The Woodlands Mall — will be held in the court near Dillard's. All ages are welcome.

The classes are just one of many holiday activities the mall has planned, according to mall release.

Every Monday from now to Monday, Dec. 17 will be pet nights. Pet owners are invited to bring their four-legged friends to come by and have a photo taken with Santa. Dogs and cats should be on leashes or in appropriate carriers. Pet owners are asked to enter the malls southeast entrance between Dillard's and Urban Outfitters, according to the release.

Throughout the holiday season, the malls Courtyard and the corridors will feature holiday music as carolers and singing groups stroll through the mall, entertaining shoppers and visitors with the sounds of the season. For dates and times, please visit the mall website at www.thewoodlandsmall.com.

Another activity will concentrate on making Christmas brighter for children and the elderly.

The Salvation Army Angel Tree will have angels available for adoption until Sunday, Dec. 16. Shoppers can adopt a child or a senior and purchase a gift to make someone's holiday merrier. The Angel Tree will be by Santa's Holiday Castle, near Banana Republic.

Also, on select weekends, Operation Pets Alive will visit the mall to offer cats and dogs that are available for adoption. Adoption times will be from noon to 5 p.m. Friday to Sunday, Nov. 23-25; and Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 1-23 in the Courtyard. Adoption fees are $75 to $125, according to the release.
