Twenty-two The Woodlands runners complete Marine Corps Marathon
Twenty two athletes from The Woodlands completed the Marine Corps Marathon on Oct. 28 in Arlington, Va.
The runners from The Woodlands and their finishing times were Brandon Sager, 30, 2:55:15; Chris Weir, 28, 3:10:37; Russell Meyer, 43, 3:29:12; Brandon Kacmarski, 30, 3:29:16; Nathan Wang, 22, 3:37:50; Ken Seifert, 31, 3:43:56; Brooke Knox, 39, 4:15:27; Susan Peters, 40, 4:32:53; Michael Smith, 49, 4:33:47; Mark Ahlers, 43, 4:38:13; Ann Leoni, 51, 4:55:09; Mark Whittemore, 51, 4:55:10; Carrie Davis, 48, 4:55:10; Irene Till, 51, 5:12:54; Joseph Till, 45, 5:12:56; Pablo Vasquez, 32, 5:19:44; Roger Mercier, 65, 5:23:52; Ronald Garrett, 51, 5:39:58; Debbie Tripp, 56, 5:59:13; Rachel Findley, 25, 6:16:34; Bryce Findley, 26, 6:16:34; and Lori Culberson, 41, 6:27:35.
According to Marine Corps Marathon organizers, a total of 23,520 runners finished the 26.2-mile race.
Augustus Maiyo, of Colorado Springs, Colo., was the men's overall winner with a time of 2:20:20, while Hirut Guanqul, of Ellicott City, Md., was the winner in the women's category with a time of 2:42:03.
