LSC-Montgomery plans orientation for new students
Lone Star College-Montgomery will host Maverick Connection, a mandatory orientation program for new students, on Wednesday, Nov. 14 and Wednesday Nov. 28.
According to a press release, the program is intended to help students ease the transition into college and prepare them for academic, social and personal success. The orientation will provide students with the opportunity to tour the campus; learn about offered academic programs and available campus resources; meet other students, faculty and staff; and have counselors and advisors on hand to assist new students with the registration process.
The orientation will be offered in two sessions both days. The morning session will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, with check-in at 8 a.m., and the evening session will be held from 5-8 p.m., with check-in at 4 p.m. Both sessions will be held in Room 102 in Building G of the General Academic Center at LSC-Montgomery, located at 3200 College Park Drive in Conroe.
Sessions will also be offered from 3-5:30 p.m., with check-in at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15 and Thursday, Nov. 29 in Room 105 at the LSC-Conroe Center, located at 777 Conroe Park N. Drive in Conroe.

Students who walk in will only be accepted if the sessions are not full. These students must bring a copy of their placement test scores and/or unofficial transcripts.
