Memorial Hermann hosts record-breaking In The Pink of Health luncheon
Memorial Hermann hosted its most successful In The Pink of Health Luncheon on Friday, Oct. 19.
More than 1,250 guests attended the event, which raised a record-breaking $500,000, according to a Memorial Hermann news release.
"To articulate the elation we feel from seeing the culmination of everyone's efforts explode into a record-breaking fundraising year and a sold-out audience is virtually impossible," Megan Alexander and Ruth Hiller, event co-chairs, said the press release. "Knowing hundreds, if not thousands, of women in Montgomery County will benefit from the funds raised is the best reward of all."
The fundraiser's featured speaker was breast cancer survivor Guiliana Rancic, along with Bill Rancic. The two discussed the importance of Guiliana's positive outlook in overcoming the disease, according to the release.
All of the proceeds from the event will stay in Montgomery County to fund education, technology and community outreach of the Breast & Bone Center at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital, according to the release.
