St. Luke's Performance Medicine celebrates grand opening
The new St. Lukes Performance Medicine, an outpatient department of St. Luke's The Woodlands Hospital, recently celebrated its multi-million-dollar expansion and renovation with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The new St. Luke's Performance Medicine held a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony in October.
An outpatient department of St. Luke's The Woodlands Hospital, the facility specializes in sports medicine, physical rehabilitation, sports performance assessment and training.
The multi-million-dollar expansion and renovation of the facility took place before the grand opening in the Medical Arts Center III Building, 17450 St. Luke's Way, Suite 350.
Advanced technology and equipment is featured throughout the facility's 7,000 square feet of space. The department was formerly known as Tektonic Athletic Development and Rehabilitation. The new center provides physical rehabilitation following an injury, surgery or neurological condition such as a stroke. Personal wellness programs, concussion management and work rehabilitation are also offered.
"It is exciting to witness our vision of developing a center for sports and performance medicine in The Woodlands," said Debra Sukin, senior vice president of St. Luke's Episcopal Health System and CEO of St. Luke's The Woodlands Hospital. "St. Luke's Performance Medicine will provide the highest quality care and best service in the region. We are excited to support not only our student athletes, but also our adult weekend warriors who remain active in our community."
