McCullough Junior High offers notification text message system to students
McCullough Junior High is beta testing a text message system that would deliver alerts to its students.
Students can now receive texts messages directly to their cell phones for upcoming major school events, including testing details for STAAR, breaking news in the event of inclement weather or other major announcements that would affect the majority of the student population.
To sign up, students simply need to send a text message to 832-529-2325 with "@mrmccord" in the body of the message. That number will instantly be added to the list for the beta test program.
Students should get parental permission before signing up for the program, and normal text charges will apply for those who do. To stop the messages, students can text "Stop" to the same number and be removed from the list.
Although the program is being beta tested for students, parents, guardians and concerned adults can also sign up for the program by following the same steps.
