Reservations being accepted for free Gardening 102 seminar
The Woodlands Township is accepting reservations for "Beyond Basics," a free Gardening 102 seminar to be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 27 at The Woodlands Township building.
The event will feature garden writers Cherie Foster Colburn and Mark Bowen.
The seminar is for novice and seasoned gardeners who are looking for a way to make landscapes more attractive, vibrant and sustainable.
Colburn is a landscape designer and award-winning garden author. She will share wisdom on the topic "Bringing Your Garden Out of the Shadows." Colburn has written gardening books for children, and her articles have appeared in Texas Gardener, Houston House and Home as well as Southern Living. Her talk will offer recipes for enjoying your landscape even after the sun goes down.
Horticulturist and gardening author Mark Bowen will present "Your Landscape Your Way, Naturally." Bowen will share cost-effective techniques to get the most from landscapes. He is author of popular landscape volumes that have appeared in several periodicals, including Habitat Gardening for Houston and Southeast Texas, and Naturalistic Landscaping for the Gulf Coast.
Due to limited seating, reservations are required.
The Woodlands Township is at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., The Woodlands.
