The International Festivals and Events Association presented The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau with three awards at the IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards ceremony.
The ceremony took place at the IFEA's 57th annual Convention and Expo Sept. 21 in Denver, Colo. The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau received a Gold Award for Best Event/Organization Newsletter, a Silver Award for Best Sponsor Follow-up Report (Memorial Day and Labor Day celebrations) and a Silver Award for Best Sponsor Follow-up Report (Red, Hot & Blue Festival).
The IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle awards competition is sponsored by Haas & Wilkerson Insurance. Entrants from among the world's top festivals and events are eligible to participate. This year's winners included entrants from the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C.; the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo in Houston, Tex.; Norfolk Festevents in Norfolk, Va.; the 500 Festival in Indianapolis, Ind.; the Dublin Irish Festival, Dublin, Ohio; the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, Denver, Colo., and the Pasadena Tournament of Roses in Pasadena, Calif.
International contenders also participated and included the Hanseong Bakje Cultural Festival in Seoul, Korea; Showtime Events in New Delhi, India; the World Gourmet Summit in Singapore; Krakow Festival Office in Krakow, Poland; Rotterdam Festivals in The Netherlands; Festival Lent in Slovenia; and the Shambhala Music Festival in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada.
