Gas prices in and around The Woodlands were lower than the averages for Texas and the country as a whole for the week of Sept. 2, according to data from the price-tracking website gasbuddy.com.

Visitors to the gasbuddy.com website reported rates for 30 gas stations in and around The Woodlands as of Saturday, Sept. 8. The average price of regular unleaded in The Woodlands is $3.63 per gallon. Gasbuddy.com listed the Texas average at $3.64, Houston average at $3.64, and the nationwide average at $3.81.

The average gas price in The Woodlands last week was $3.61 per gallon.

The least expensive gas in The Woodlands is reported to be $3.54 for a gallon of regular unleaded, which a gasbuddy.com contributor logged at Valero, 3700 FM-1488 and H-E-B, 3675 FM-1488 near Kuykendahl Road.

Gasbuddy.com users reported the most expensive gas in the area at $3.69, which was being sold at 15 gas stations.
