Lamar Soccer Club looking for referees
The Lamar Soccer Club is seeking referees for its youth soccer leagues. Referees must attend an orientation clinic prior to the start of the soccer season, according to the club's website, and are paid between $17.70 and $40 for each game they officiate. Orientation attendees must pre-register with the South Texas Soccer Referees at stsr.org. The certification class is approximately $50, and a referee uniform is also about $50, according to the site. After officiating five games, the soccer club will reimburse officials $25 of the certification fee and $25 on the uniform cost. Lamar Soccer Club games are held at the fields in George Park, 1898 Collins Road in Richmond. For more information, email vicepresident@lamarsoccerclub.org or visit lamarsoccerclub.org.
