Jordan Big Bass Classic scheduled for September
The Kelly Jordan Big Bass Classic fishing tournament will be held Saturday, Sept. 22 and Sunday, Sept. 23.
With an expectation of 500 tournament entrants, the hourly payouts will be $1,000 for first place, $500 for second, $300 for third, $200 for fourth and $100 for fifth. All tournament entrants will receive a free custom Quantum rod.
The grand prize is a 2012 Nitro Z7 with a 150 HP Pro XS motor. Also loaded with a tandem trailer and dual console, the entire package is worth $28,500.
The entry fee is $100 for one day's competition fishing, and $150 for both days of competition. Fishing will be done at Lake Conroe, a 21,000 acre lake in Montgomery County.
Registration will be available from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 and noon to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 at Papa's on the Lake, located at 14632 Texas 105, in Montgomery.
Weigh-ins will also be done at Papa's on the Lake every hour from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
