Hunter education course offered in Conroe
A Texas Hunter Education Traditional Two-Day Course will be offered to Conroe youth and adults in September and October. The 14-hour, two-day course covers the basic hunting regulations for the state of Texas, as well as wildlife management, conservation, ethics, firearm safety and other outdoor skills. Participants must fill out a student registration form, attend the entire course, and pass the written exam with a score above 70 percent. After completing the program, a temporary card will be issued while the instructor files for a permanent license. Classes will be available in Conroe on Monday, Sept. 10; Saturday, Sept. 15; and Monday, Oct. 1. Each one costs $15, and all necessary materials will be provided at the session for certification.
