Macy's Shop For A Cause set for Aug. 25

Macy's seventh annual Shop For A Cause will be held Saturday, Aug. 25 at The Woodlands Mall.

Shop For A Cause benefits charities nationwide. Since 2006, Shop For A Cause has raised more than $42 million for charities across the country, according to the Macy's website.

The event works with participating non-profit organizations, which check out special shopping passes and sell them for $5 each, keeping 100 percent of the proceeds. Passes allow participants to receive 25 percent off on regular, sale and clearance merchandise, as well as 10 percent off furniture, mattresses and area rugs. Participants will also be eligible to win a $500 gift card, according to the Macy's website.
