Habitat for Humanity to hold second annual 'Road Rally'

Registration begins Saturday, Sept. 1 for this year's road adventure to benefit local Habitat for Humanity efforts.   The Montgomery County Habitat for Humanity Road Rally takes drivers ages 25 years old and older to a series of area destinations with cryptic clues and challenges along the way. Proceeds from the race benefit the Montgomery County chapter of Habitat's inaugural Women Build.    "Rev it Up!" is the theme for this year's event, which will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 at BMW-Mini Cooper, located at 17830 Interstate 45 in The Woodlands.   "Our drivers had a wonderful time last year, even though a few of them got a little off course," said Barbara McGregor, event chair for Women Build, in a press release. "We had families, groups of friends and couples all driving together and creating fun memories. The competition was fierce!"   Registration is limited to 25 drivers of cars provided by BMW-Mini Cooper and 25 drivers with their own cars. The cost is $220 per car, with up to four people per car. A winners' circle celebration begins at 6 p.m. after the rally featuring dinner catered by Crescent Moon Wine Bar. The cost to attend the party is $55 per person.   For more information and to register, visit hfhmctx.org.
