Man charged with aggravated assault

Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office in Conroe have charged Benjamin Alan Beasley of Magnolia with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to a sheriff's office press release and online jail records.

Beasley is accused of stabbing Christopher C. Holliday with a knife, according to the release. Around 4:30 a.m. Aug. 17, deputies responded to a disturbance call at a single-wide mobile home at 30214-2 Dobbin-Hufsmith Road in west Montgomery County.

Deputies found the 25 year-old Holliday lying partially in the front doorway covered in blood and suffering from multiple stab wounds to his arms, throat and abdomen. Beasley was tending to Holliday, according to the release.

An ambulance took Holliday to a local hospital, where he is in critical condition.

Beasley was arrested at the mobile home and taken to jail. The mobile home is the home of Beasley and his wife, according to Major Crime investigators. A night of heavy drinking resulted in an argument. Beasley's wife and Holliday woke Beasley to move him to a bed, and Beasley became agitated and threatened his wife with a knife and she ran to a nearby home to call for help. The wife told deputies that she could hear Holliday calling for help.

Major Crime and Crime Scene investigators are reviewing evidence and conducting interviews.

Beasley will turn 31 Wednesday, Aug. 22.
