The Woodlands High releases volleyball schedule

The Woodlands High School has released its varsity girls volleyball schedule for the 2012 season.

The team began its 2012 season at the Grapevine Varsity Tournament in mid-August.

The next regular season match will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21 at Seven Lakes in Katy, before an early 8 a.m. trip on Thursday, Aug. 23 to the Magnolia Varsity Tournament, which runs through Saturday, Aug. 25. The Highlanders return home for a 5 p.m. match on Tuesday, Aug. 28 against Magnolia.

After another road trip to start September, The Woodlands return home for a 5 p.m. meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 11 with A&M Consolidated. Home matches at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18 with Kingwood, and at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21 with Bryan highlight the next stretch. Oak Ridge pays a visit at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, followed again at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2 by Conroe.

The Highlanders then play three of their next four matches on the road. They will travel to A&M Consolidated for a 6 p.m. match on Friday, Oct. 5, then have a 5 p.m. home event on Tuesday, Oct. 9 against Lufkin. A 4:30 p.m. visit on Friday, Oct. 12 to Clear Creek and a 6 p.m. trip on Tuesday, Oct. 16 to Bryan follow, before returning home for a 5 p.m. match on Friday, Oct. 19 against College Park. The final match of the regular season is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at Oak Ridge.
