Lone Star Cowboy Church to host rodeo Aug. 31

The Lone Star Cowboy Church will host the 4-D Barrel Racing Rodeo on Friday, Aug. 31.   Part of the group's Buckle Series, the rodeo will offer exhibitions and open challenges. Scoring is based on a six-point system and all participants must run four of the five races. Prizes will be offered to the first- through third-place winners.    Exhibitions will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for a cost of $5. Open 4-D races start at 8 p.m. with an entry fee of $40 and an equal payout of 80 percent.
