Woodforest Charity Run registration now open
Registration is open for the third annual Woodforest Charity Run, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22 in downtown Conroe.
The 10K run will begin at 7:45 a.m. at Heritage Place Park and will take a course through downtown Conroe. A 5K Run will begin at 8 a.m. The race will be followed by a party at Heritage Place Park where participants, volunteers, and spectators will gather to enjoy food, music and family-friendly activities.

Net proceeds from the event will benefit The Woodforest Charitable Foundation, which supports local charities such as the Montgomery County Food Bank, Montgomery County Youth Services, the Friendship Center and the Montgomery County Women's Center.
"We are pleased to again partner with the city of Conroe as we prepare for our third annual sanctioned run in downtown Conroe," Patricia Brown, senior vice president of Woodforest National Bank said in a press release. "Attendance of dedicated runners and spectators has grown year over year and we are anticipating another successful run and fundraising event. We encourage the community to join us for the post-race party at Heritage Place Park where we will celebrate the success of the run which will help benefit many local not-for-profit organizations in need."
