Two teens charged in burglaries of motor vehicles
Two teens have been arrested and charged in the burglaries of items inside of motor vehicles.
The teens, one of Spring and one of Conroe, have been charged with burglary of a motor vehicle and credit card abuse.
According to a report by Lt. Dan Norris, Administrative Services Public Information Officer, at around 2:30 a.m. Aug. 14, deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriffs Office were dispatched to investigate suspicious males that had been seen running from car to car trying to open car doors in the driveways of homes in the Legends Ranch Subdivision in South Montgomery County.
Upon arrival, deputies in the area saw a black SUV with its headlights turned off traveling on Linder Green Drive. The vehicle was moving slowly with the windows down to allow the suspects, who were standing outside the SUV, to allegedly throw stolen items into the vehicle, according to the report.
When deputies stopped the vehicle they found a 16-year old male driving the car. Inside the car was numerous items including approximately 20-30 cell phone charges, several GPS units, radar detectors, cell phones, one class ring, wallet with credit cards and a handgun, according to the report.
The 16 year old male, of Oak Ridge North, was released to his father.
