The Woodlands Mall hosts KHOU Channel 11 Gulf Coast Regional Blood Drive Aug. 31

The Woodlands Mall will host a KHOU Channel 11 blood drive from 1-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31 for the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center.

The donation unit will be located across from the JCPenney court. Donors who credit Channel 11 for coming out and giving blood will receive a commemorative Commit to Life T-shirt and a gift certificate for a free pint of Blue Bell ice cream, while supplies last.

Every donor will receive a coupon from Chick-fil-A and a cookie from Great American Cookies from the Woodlands Mall, while supplies last.

Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good general health. Individuals who are 16-years old and weigh 122 pounds can donate with parental consent. A valid picture ID is required.

No appointment is necessary but can be made by calling 888-482-5663 or visiting giveblood.org. Those with an appointment will be given a priority.

The Woodlands Mall is located at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive.
