Women Professionals in Government announces new board of directors
Women Professionals in Government recently elected a new slate of officers for the organization's board of directors.
Officers for 2012-13 are Tammy Fuselier, president; Maria Irshad, first vice president; Victoria Vonder Haar, second vice president; Regina Dickson, immediate past president; Janet Norstrom, secretary; Kevin Herzog, treasurer; Tracy Jones, membership chairman; Dee Dee Grays, public relations and summer social chairman; Melonie Curry, historian; Nicole Chinea, hospitality chairman; Donna Thornburg, communications chairman; Susan Banks, community service chairman; Jocelyn Williams, scholarship chairman; and Clarese Brown, financial secretary.
Women Professionals in Government advocates for women in government and public policy and provides networking opportunities, scholarships and grants to agencies serving women and children in Harris County.
The first fall meeting will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6 at the Minute Maid Ball Park-Union Station, located at 501 Crawford St., in Houston. The guest speakers will be the candidates in the Harris County Attorney race, Vince Ryan and Robert Talton, according to the organization's website.
