Woodlands Mall to begin project to benefit local schools
The Woodlands Mall has launched an online charity to benefit local schools.
According to a press release, the donorschoose.org project is designed to assist local schools and teachers with needed supplies and funding.
The Woodlands Mall aims to fund at least 10 local classroom projects that are posted to the website throughout a series of matching donation offers and gift card giveaways from Tuesday, Sept. 4 through Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Public schools located in The Woodlands, within the Conroe or Tomball independent school districts, are encouraged to participate in the project.
In addition to the online charity program, The Woodlands Mall will hold a pep rally and fundraising event Saturday Oct. 13 and Sunday, Oct. 14.
Area schools will be given the opportunity to set up presentations at the shopping center to help raise funds and awareness and celebrate the school/community partnership.
All funds raised during the event will be distributed among the participating schools for funding, supplies and activities.
