SCFL to hold golf tournament fundraiser
The South County Football League (SCFL) will sponsor its annual golf tournament fundraiser Friday, Aug. 17 at Woodforest Golf Club with a shotgun start at noon.
The event is held each year just before the fall tackle football season begins. Coaches, dads, sponsors and friends participate to show off their skills, gain bragging rights for their team and to enjoy the event.
The tourney is a four-person scramble format. Check-in begins at 11 a.m. and players tee off at noon.
The entry fee is $125 per team and includes golf, drinks and dinner during the award ceremony.
Prizes will be given for the top three teams, longest drive and closest to the pin.
All proceeds go to capital improvements at the SCFL Gullo Fields.
For more information or to register, contact Amy Binney at Amy.Binney@gmail.com or visit www.scfootball.org. The registration deadline is Friday, Aug. 10.
