Event nets more than $25,000 for Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
The Pavilion Partners Pre-Concert Dinner and Fundraiser held July 21 at The Pavilion's House of Blues Hospitality Tent raised $25,000 for The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
The event was held in conjunction with the Joe Cocker and Huey Lewis and the News concert held later that evening. A live auction at the event netted $13,000 alone.
"This event was awesome," said said John Robichau, co-chairman of the fundraiser, in a press release. "Guests really enjoyed the rock 'n' roll theme, the venue, food, dessert, photo booth and auction. We could not have done it without the volunteers, sponsors and guests who came together to raise $25,000 to support the performing arts and educational outreach programs at the pavilion."
The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is a non-profit organization that operates an outdoor amphitheater for arts, educational and entertainment events for the greater Houston area. It is located at 2005 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands.
The pavilion is the summer home of the Houston Symphony and the Houston Ballet.
