YMCA announces summer events
The summer event schedule for the South Montgomery County YMCAs has been announced.
There will be an interactive cooking and tasting class for children called the Kids Cooking Class. The class will feature a monthly theme, according to a press release. A registration fee is required.

Several summer youth sports clinics will also be offered. According to the press release, each clinic will focus on a different sport.
The tennis clinic begins Aug. 6 for children ages 6-13.
A tee-ball clinic begins Aug. 6 for children ages 3-5.
A World of Sports clinic begins Aug. 6 for children ages 6-13.
The press release stated that sports clinics provide children with a chance to learn new skills, improve current skills and have fun. Children will learn through personal instruction, drills and scrimmages.
Most clinics are three hours in length and run Monday through Thursday through Aug. 13.
Registration is available at 6145 Shadowbend Place, 8100 Ashlane Way and 6464 Creekside Forest Drive in The Woodlands.
