Adventure Camp puts down stakes in The Woodlands
The Woodlands Township Recreation Center will hold Woodlands Adventure Camp for children age 11 and older from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 13 through Aug. 17 at the recreation center.
The weeklong day camp will have sessions in kayaking, indoor climbing, mountain biking, fishing, adventure racing and wilderness skills.
The various activities during the week will feature demanding environments, and participants must be able to function physically, cognitively and behaviorally in a manner that supports safety for everyone, according to a press release. Swimming skills are required. All equipment, except mountain bikes, will be provided.
The fee is $310 per person; no experience in these activities is required.
The Woodlands Township Recreation Center is located at 5310 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands.
